​Scimitars e Cimitarra 

It was probably around 1983 that I bought my first Scimitar, a rough GTE. The intended restoration never got very far and HJB 171K soon disappeared on the back of a trailer, presumably to be broken for spares, or restored by someone who new what they were doing! This was followed by a decent Straight Six Coupe that was subsequently restored to club concours standard, although this time with a little help from knowledgeable specialists. After being bitten by the competition bug I acquired an additional Coupe, this time a V6, but the strain of looking after two Coupes became too much and both were sold to make way for a 1600 SS1. This provided lots of fun competing in various speed events before various pressures resulted in C999 YCR being sold. So, after a gap of almost 25 years I have another SS1, this time a 1400 left hand drive imported from Portugal!
